Merouna Arbutus Honey (Sasnou)
Merouna honey (Sasnou) is produced from the nectar of the flowers of the arbutus tree, known locally as "Boukhanou". It is a honey with a strong, distinctive flavor that crystallizes quickly and tastes bitter, even though the tree's fruit is sweet.
Merouna honey is naturally rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and is one of the rare and sought-after types of honey in Morocco.
